Silvia, a Jalisco native and Graduate from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara as an Industrial Designer and Fashion Designer form Centro de Diseño de Modas, was always intrigued and inspired by México’s colorful myths and legends shared by storytellers for centuries. One particular legend of intrigue was about the origins of the Agave plant from which Tequila and Mezcal is made. The elixir is believed to be a gift from the gods created by magic and love. Legend says the goddess "Mayahuel" was killed by lightning and re-awakened as "Maguey" (Agave) and from that moment, her love for life has been a symbol of México’s passion and transformation. México folklore was the source of inspiration behind Silvia's vision. Her development journey led to local artisan masters who shared her passion and ambition in making Viosa. Our goal is to unite other farmers and artesian distillers to save this age old craft and empower other women entrepreneurs throughout Mexico to play a more integral part with us.
The name Viosa and silhouette on the bottle represent all woman. She’s powerful, wildly articulate, knows what she’s doing and she’s got a real passion for life, love, and sex. A Viosa woman radiates confidence and she’s driven to always get what she wants.
